When Kuoni took over Sita World Travels in 2001 & eventually Sita had to make the difficult decision to shut down its office in Srinagar due to the challenging circumstances prevailing in the region. This decision left the employees disheartened. However, rather than succumbing to despair, Abdul Rauf, Nasir Shah and Yaqoob Khan saw this setback as an opportunity to pursue their dream of showcasing the beauty of Kashmir & Ladakh to the world. Abdul Rauf & Nasir Shah took care of Sales & Operations while Yaqoob Khan looked after accounts. They pooled their resources, ambition, and unwavering determination to create a venture that would capture the essence of Kashmir and provide unforgettable experiences to travelers from all corners of the globe. Naming the company called Culture & Nature Expeditions, CNE is short form. Setting up a small office in Lal Chowk the heart of Srinagar, adorned with colorful photographs and maps of the picturesque valleys, snow-capped mountains, and shimmering lakes that Kashmir was renowned for. The team spared no effort in designing unique travel itineraries that would allow visitors to immerse themselves in the region’s natural beauty, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality.
