Golden Triangle with Golden Temple
Day 01: Arrive Delhi at Airport – Our representative will welcome you at airport and will transfer you to your respective hotel. Assistance and check-in at hotel. Later proceed for city tour of Delhi, start with Old Delhi, drive past Red fort, visit Jamia Masjid, enjoy a Rickshaw Ride in Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat. In New Delhi, visit India Gate, President House, Lotus Temple and Qutab Minar. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi – Jaipur (270 km/5-6 hrs) – Breakfast at leisure, later drive to Jaipur. Assistance and check in at hotel. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Jaipur – After breakfast, excursion to Amer, enjoy an elephant ride while going up to the hill, later also visit City Palace, Observatory, Tal Mahal & Hawa Mahal followed by visit at Babu market for shopping. In the evening witness Aarti ceremony at Birla temple. Evening enjoy a live folk dances & hot buffet dinner at Narayan Niwas Palace. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Jaipur – Agra (235 Km/3-4 hrs) – Early breakfast at hotel, later drive to Agra, en-route visit deserted city Fathepur Sikri, here you will explore a massive and very impressive fort, abandoned due to shortage of water. On arrival in Agra check in the hotel. Today your excitement comes to an end, visit world famous monument of love “Taj Mahal” (closed on all Fridays), also visit Agra fort. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Delhi – Agra (204 km/3-4 hrs) – Amritsar – After breakfast, drive to Delhi. On arrival transfer to railway station to board Shatabdi express (1630 / 2245 hrs) for Amritsar (Dinner on board in train). Assistance and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Amritsar – In the morning visit the Golden Temple, the holiest of the holy shrines of Sikhism. It’s Harmandir complex and the Sarovar will leave you spell-bound.
Also visit the infamous Jallianwala Bagh, the memorial to commemorate the 2000 Indians who were killed or wounded, shot indiscriminately by the British under the command of Gen Michael O”Dyer on April13, 1919.
In the late afternoon visit Wagah Border, India / Pakistan Border for change of guard’s ceremony and the flag hoisting and lowering activities which are done with great skill and precision by the border security forces of both the countries.
In the evening visit Palki sahib ceremony in the Golden temple which takes place twice in day. Palki sahib ceremony is when the holy book Guru Granth Sahib (Holy book of Sikhs) is carried to a room for night stay.
Return back to hotel for dinner & overnight.
Day 07: Amritsar – Delhi – Morning free at leisure. Afternoon transfer to railway station to board Shatabdi express (1650 / 2305 hrs) for Delhi (Dinner on board in train). Assistance on arrival in Delhi and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Delhi – Depart – Transfer to airport in time to catch flight for onward destination.
